It's was about time to update my show reel, showcasing the work I've created and contributed to over the years. You can learn more about each project and my role in them as a smal text window attached to each clip. Most of the work you can also find here at my site.

My main goal as a company is to help clients communicate clearly. I make it easier for others to understand who they are, how things work, and why they do what they do. The journey begins with a search for the JHåland tree, a unique tree among many.

Music

This video begun with the music, a collaboration with the great Atella guys, where they created stems (different parts musical parts and drums) and I did the composition, some additional sounds, mix and master. Inspiration at that time was Blade Runner, both new and old, and a couple of other tracks that I liked the feel too.

Also Oliver or Utern snippets of tracks contains include some great sounds and set the perfect mood.

Show reel Intro

The video begins underwater with fish, then moves through forested mountains, features various animals, abstract motion, and ends with a solitary tree on an island. The colors are bright and on brand with JHåland esthetics.

The imagery in this video has been in my mind for a long time. It reflects the tree-filled mountains of my home on the west coast of Norway, specifically created using a height map of Bergen, where I live and work. The camera starts at the exact spot where my office has been for the last five years.

To achieve the camera movements, I tracked live-action stock videos that closely matched the images I envisioned—drone shots, handheld footage, and underwater scenes. I made a rough cut to the music and then started creating the scenes.

I’ve worked with many different types of work and clients. Form large corporations, universities, Norwegian sate official departements, small firms and single individual companies.
