Oslow

Another project I’ve done with Metric

Metric is one of the masters of packaging in Norway, and this time is for a Organic Wine Spritzer.

“Oslow is a lightly sparkling spritzer. It pairs organic Italian white wine with organic fruit juice. Developed by Arcus Wine Brands.”

C4dtoa hair fix

I came over a problem with the Arnold Hair. You can see in the picture that the hair doesn't pick up the color from the texture, and as usual it's an easy fix.

You add an Arnold Tag, and tick the Export UVs. In the hair material you add your texture to the standard hair shader.

Good luck!

Added new videos

I've added more of the videos I've made late 2016 - 2017.

Fist a short project I did for the talented Miss Tati. It's a simple lyric video with illustrations made by Robert Høyem.

Song produced by Ivar Thormodsæter Video by JHåland, Jørgen Håland http://www.jhaland.com/ Illustrations by Overhaus, Robert Høyem http://www.overhaus.no/

One for CityBox. That's an animation peace that I did for my good friends at Overhaus. It's not often I do character animation so even tho it's 2D it were a surprisingly difficult project.

At Citybox we're all about modernization and innovation. We've thrown out minibars, bellboys, TV sets and room service. As a result we offer modern and affordable hotel rooms, with free wi-fi and self service check in, located in the centre of the city.

I made a promovideo for my own product PolarWhite, when I released a new pack called PolarWhite Tables.

PolarWhite is a MockUp collection with 46 different scenes ready to use for Photoshop CS6 and up. Simple to change designs with smart objects, fill color masks and wireframes for precision work. Promovideo music by William French https://soundcloud.com/williamfrenchmusic I really needed a presentation tool for my design and I found one by Shaan Shiv Suleman called Ebony & Ivory branding MockUp.

This video were one of many videos I did for Kind conceptual branding while I were employed over there the fall of 2016. I did the product renders and animation. At Kind I were turned in to a button clicker, and weren't what it ought to be, and I went back to freelancing when I got some new opportunities.

Arnold Render Utility Shader as an illustrative tool

In this tutorial I show the utility shader in Arnold Render. It gives opportunity to create looks that aren't possible with the native render engine in Cinema 4d. Hope this gives you new inspiration to explore new looks and styles.

If you have a material suggestion, write it in the comments :)

Leather Material Tutorial

As the title says, in this leather material tutorial I show my main method of creating materials. In photoshop I make the material base based on a picture. Sometimes from the web or a picture I've taken. It's made square and seamless for ease of use.

After a couple of larger updates by Arnold Renderer some parts of the tutorial is now old and not up to date. Anders Langlands addon to Arnold is deprecated and not possible to use anymore. But many of the principles is still possible to use, and that’s why I do not remove this tutorial form Youtube. Thank you for your understanding :)

Sometimes I find this image on the web or a I take my own picture. It's made into a square and then made seamless for ease of use in 3D. Then processed it in Bitmap2Material or Materialize (only on windows) to create different texture maps. Then mixed together in Arnold Render.

Arnold + X-Particles part02

In this second part I show you how you can change color on collision. This technique can be used in many different ways where you need to go from one particle group to the other.

Arnold + X-Particles part01

In this is a quick tutorial I show how you can make simple trails (and short arrows) that also change color over life by using Arnold Render and X-Particles in Cinema 4D.

This is my second tutorial so sorry for the stuttering :)

The shift button hung up after a brake, sorry for that!
